ROE V WADE TO BE TRUMPED BY SCIENCE?

Life at Conception Act

The Supreme Court decision in the 1973 Roe vrs. Wade case was set upon the understanding that nobody actually understands when 'life' actually begins. That may sound ridiculous, but, it is a very critical component of the law, because, it is against all Constitutional law to take the life of an innocent person.

Fetuses are innocent people, if they are people. If they are not people, then what are they? The simplest step to solve the 'great mystery' of what they are is to observe what they become if left to natural law. They become fully formed human beings. Not tomatoes, or piglets, or crickets, or trees. But, people. And the law of this land is that innocent people shall not be put to death.

"In what appears to be a loophole in the famous Roe v. Wade decision that paved the way for legal abortions, Congresswoman Sandy Adams has co-sponsored a bill that would legislatively end the nation’s policy of unlimited abortion-on-demand."

"Dubbed the Life at Conception Act, 105 members of the U.S. Congress co-sponsored the pro-life legislation."

"From the 1973 decision: "...the Supreme Court also said: "We need not resolve the difficult question of when life begins ... the judiciary at this point in the development of man’s knowledge is not in a position to speculate as to the answer.""

"However, the High Court made a key admission in its decision: "If this suggestion of personhood is established, the appellant’s case [i.e., "Roe" who sought an abortion], of course, collapses, for the fetus’ right to life is then guaranteed specifically by the [14th] Amendment.""

"The bottom line: a majority vote is all that is needed to pass a Life at Conception Act to establish personhood beginning at conception."

OHIO HEARTBEAT BILL TO PROTECT UNBORN

A first of it's kind in the nation, this bill protects the unborn by the beat of their heart - as early as 18 days. Could a day be coming were protection protects upon conception?

"Opponents of abortion plan to announce a “Heartbeat Bill”, aimed at making sure “all Ohio babies with beating hearts are protected by law,” according to a Monday press release."

"“If the heartbeat is detected, that child is protected,” said Janet Folger Porter, president of Faith2Action and a former legislative director of Ohio Right to Life."

"Porter said a heartbeat can be detected as early as 18 to 24 days. If Ohio enacts the bill, Porter said that she expects its fate ultimately would be decided by the U.S. Supreme Court."

"Porter said the bill would be formally introduced on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14."

"Rep. Lynn Wachtmann, R-Napoleon, chairman of the House Health Committee, is expected to sponsor the bill." SOURCE: DAYTON DAILY NEWS

"Please visit http://www.HeartbeatBill.com for additional information. Currently there are 36 co-sponsors to this bill in the Ohio House. The video is part of an effort to pass a "Heartbeat Bill" in the state of Ohio that intends to protect every unborn child who has a detectable heartbeat. Mrs. Porter’s organization also hopes that the video will educate people about life far beyond the borders of the Buckeye State." SOURCE: A GOOD CHOICE
